Laptop sound issues

Very odd one this...

Sometimes my lap top won't play sound...If i close it and reopen it, put in password etc. It works fine?! Bloody annoying tbh!

im not up there myself tbh lol, id put it in a shop, or if you have the discs reload the udio drivers, back everything up first though!

i get this sometimes when ive been using headphones and sometimes it doesnt recognise theyve been unplugged, plug back in and unplug and usually works again
