No s**t. Plus, I believe they are heavily seam welded shells, also. Many hours spent strengthening them and integrating the cages into the car. In short, they're strong us f**k. That was a massive drop. I reckon the average car would have folded in half.
Even seam welding would do f**k all for that without the cage.
