Got my new tyres fitted today and the bloke who fitted 'em noticed some oil on the inside of my front offside alloy. He suggested that the CV boot was probably to blame. How serious is this? I know it's an MOT failure, but do I need to get it sorted now?
Do a search . Plenty of posts about this lately . It's quite a common problem , the clip on the cv gaitor snaps therefore dumping grease all over the inside of your alloy . Repack with grease and jubliee clip it .
Myne was knackered an i didnt know, when i eventually noticed and had it looked at it had no grease in an had fucked the driveshaft so needed a new driveshaft aswel. Get it sorted asap mate or itll get expensive, but defo pack it with grease.
