Leaking rear caliper (jeep) - do I need to clamp the line? quick answer please!!

I've just done a pad change all round on a jeep grand Cherokee.

Only problem is the rear right caliper piston had a hairline crack in which developed into a full crack of the piston about half way down. As I compressed it in not knowing at the time fluid leaked out.

A replacement caliper has been ordered due for delivery tomorrow, Ive left the lid on the reservoir tight and bungee corded the caliper up high (not sure if that will make any difference)

My question is will it be ok to let the minimal (hopefully) fluid run out into a bowl as long as I fully bleed the system tomorrow? just want to double check.

Should I clamp the brake line? (I feel that will be not advisable?)

Thanks.

If you leave it to empty or let air in you might get it in the abs pump. Then you might need a dealer tool
