Question lads: In some topics about ECUs, chips and induction kits, people have talked about lean mixtures. Will the lambda sensor not tell the ECU to adjust the mixture accordingly??? Is it really something to be worried about if the lambda sensor works properly??
the engine only runs closed loop for a set % of throttle and rpm. Above either of those and the engine eithe runs open loop or off a list of preset maps.
SO, at anything like spritely driving your engine wont be using the lambda to calculate fueling. Add to this that lambda or stoichiometric is an a/f rationof 14.7:1 for the cat to operate correctly, thus it would be no use for power burn.
