LED H1 Problem Help

tryed to fit some new LED H1 bulb today but found that the bulb wouldnt fit through the hole, has anybody else encountered this problem and if so what did you do to rectify the problem.

why would you want a led H1?

led's are not quite there yet as a retro fit upgrade
