legal amount of tints on windows

hi jus wondering whats the legal amount of tint ur allowed for front back and side windows thanx

i think it has to allow 75 or possibly 80% of light through on the front sides but the rear 1/4 windows and rear window are excluded as you are effectively making it into a van

yeah 75% of light has to go thru the front windscreen & front windows but rear ones and rear windscreen can be blacked out or whatever u want!

0% tints = no light

100% tints = full light

the rear windows can be limo tint 0%-5%. Side windows should be no darker than 30%. You can only really put a sun strip on the windscreen, as its already tinted to about the legal limit!

However check what the police are like in your area, Ive had all round 20% tints for about 7 months now and Ive not been bothered once. Ive even been pulled a few times for spot checks on tyres etc!
