Anybody got any experience or comments of Renault Dealers/service Centres in Leicestershire. Any recommendations - avoidances.

Cedar Motors in Barwell are muppets.

Ceder motors are only good for getting spairs but u usually have to wait a day to get them as they dont keep many ther. Reno leicester seem good enough and willing to do good deals. I got my car from the reno redhall garage in between coalville and loughborough, they are muppets as didnt fix my seatbelt!

when i had my first valver i was 99% sure the head gasket had gone so i booked it in 2 Cedar telling them that it had gone. I took the car at 8:30 in the morning and rang them at 5pm to see how it was going. They said yeah er your head gaskets gone!! TELL ME SOMETHING I DONT KNOW LADS!

Like i said muppets!

Ive only ever used Cedar motors for spares, for some reason they quote cheaper than Reno leics.

Didnt like Reno leics that much either when i had my Cup.

For servicing i use RJ Autos, a Reno specialist behind the drive-thru mcdonalds in Hinckley, even though he seems to look down on me!

Thanks mightyDiamond - The redhall garage is the closest to me - although Id heard some bad reports with regards to there service dept. Renault Leicester will probably be the one I use when/If I need any warranty work carried out. So any additional reports on "Renault Leicester" would gladly be recieved.

matbrown, do RJ Autos carry out warranty work being that they are a Renault specialist and not perhaps a Renault dealer.

I doubt it, they have no ties with the Renault gruop other than he used to work for them.

My mum brought her clio and my dad got his van both new from renault leicester recently and have been very happy with service and price, they even gave my mum a descent px with her escort. redhall are ok but when they MOTd my clio they didnt check the seatbelts and lights as i know for a fact my rear seatbelt didnt work. So if you want a dodgy MOT go to redhall!

I bought my 172 new from Renault Leicester. They have been pretty good on the warranty work.

Renault Leics are very good - i didnt even plan on buying a clio but 3 hours in the showroom and i was £9500 down!

Reno Leics are good at selling you a car yes, but they wont easily surrender information, unless you actually ask. True of most dealers though. Not had any experience with them as far as service/maintenance goes, but Im planning on going and blagging some warranty repairs soon.

Hmm, isnt there a forum for dealership discussion though?

Just took my Clio for a 18000m service at Ren Leics. Quoted £230 inclusive and thaen picked i up and only paid £178 inclusive.they didny con me however i didnt get back the parts i requested!?

Guy you want to spesk to is Ian and he seems well imformed. Try them.

Griffs garage in countesthorpe have been renault specialists for ages.

Never used them but heard good things.

not a fan of Renault Leicester either, once they found out my car was an inport been a real pain to get anything done under warantee, and for some reason they always pinch my wheel looking key

Just had some warranty work done at Renault Leicester - rattling electric sunroof was replaced completely and the car was washed while I did my running about in a courtesy car for a few days.
