I'm liking that 08 picture, and I love all the shots of traffic on long shutter exposures.

i shot these about a year ago for a project for uni.

and im currently doing something similar but its not finished yet, heres just a test shot, i shot it in my garage so its was totally dark. with a pure black background i can then layer it over another enviroment later on and just adjust the layer blending option to remove the black

That's pretty much it !

20 to 30 seconds shutter opening .. make sure you point the torch at the camera, and dont keep it in one place too long (especially if its an LED one)

Do you stand in front of the camera with the torch, and wave it about while pointing it at the camera, then photoshop yourself out?

yeah but you dont need to photoshop yourself out as the exposure is so long you become 'diluted' into the background
