light is showing!

Exhaust Gas Monitor light is showing is there any thing i can do or do i need to go to the garage? any help would be nice cheers:boring:

Mine's been on for a few weeks now. I'll get it turned off next time I'm at a garage. If it doesn't turn off on its own does that mean somethings broke? Seems to drive fine.

It will clear itsefl after 25 or so good starts again as such.

It only comes on it you have a decat or if the sensors faulty. And they do fail.

Hmm maybe a faulty sensor then, doesn't have a decat and has had more than 25 starts. If someone clears the fault on a computer will it come on again if its faulty?

It will come back if the problem is still there or the sensors faulty.

Mine came on after driving 10 miles from the garage I bought it from. I called Renault who advised it looked as though I needed a new set of coils which would cost £300!!

Obviously I did not take it in to them.

The light went out after another 20 miles and has never been on since.

Good advice Renault!!!!

Mine comes on every time i turn on the ignition but goes off after a few secs.

Although sometimes it stays on then goes into limp home mode.

Pisses me off, anybody know whats up with it?

I have a similar problem at the moment.. though I had it reset twice already, renault wanted £900 for a new cat.... Needless to say I am reluctant to shell that out! The light has been on now for another 4months, haven't noticed anything wrong in performance, etc, am I right to guess that if there was something wrong I'd know about it? (I can think of much better ways of spending £900...)
