light on dash

Bit of help please. I started my car up last night and green gear stick light on dash board wont go off. Any one got any ideas what could be causing this?

Mine did this once. Turned off and turned back on.again.and gone. (Renault's brilliant electrics) haha

What's with all the old thread bumps tonight? Disconnect your battery for 30 mins/ do the stalk reset trick.

PM'd for old threads to friends and also tried stalk reset but still no luck. Shift light is orange while reset as it should be but its always on green after ignition on. The only difference is that the brightness of the green shift light decreases a bit after ignition on and keeps that level. Couldt find any solution or where that shift light feeds from. Its linked somewhere service light in the instrument panel wiring but not clear and numbered.
