Lightweight Sub Setup

  Tangoed Works
I have recently upgraded my speakers all round with JL 525VR comps in front and JL TR525 in rear, all dynamat xtremed up. Have to say combined with my Pioneer stereo it sounds amazing but obviously lacking in bass.

I dont want to weigh the car down silly with heavy amps and the like so was considering a small underseath amplified subwoofer. Are these actually any good or will I have to get a standalone amp and sub set up to make the bass fill the car nicely.

I dont want to pop windows out or set off alarms, but I am impressed with the SQ so far and just want to add to the low end. I was also considering amping the front comps as well so would the bass from an amplified sub be enough to compete?

Any ideas much appreciated.

Thanks
