  Not a Clio
Is antivirus needed on linux? I've read that as the default user is not root that the worst that happens if your home folder gets messed up.

Nope.
I only installed anti-virus on a Linux mailserver cus' there are Windows clients! Heh (and I have spam filtering etc.. so activating a virus scanner is easy)

most virus' also arent designed to work in linux due to the open source nature etc of the software little harder to get them. As most security holes etc get patched quite quickly.
