Linux to VMWare image?



Infact, not easily. Only way (I think) would be to backup your system, create a new VMWare image, restore the system to the VMWare session and then it would work. :)

No, you need VMWare Workstation or similar to create images.

No you don't. You can use the FREE VMWare Server to do it:

I use it at home (I do all my downloading in a VMWare Windows image). VMWare have a product called P2V which lets you create images from physical disks, but I think you have to pay for it and I'm not sure if it will work with VMWare Server
