Locking my car...

After disconnecting my battery to reset the ECU, I connected the battery again as usual.

Tried locking the door, but the doors locked but there wasn't the two normal indicator flashes....

When i unlock the door, the indicator flashes once (as usually) and unlocks the door..

All indicators and hazard lights work, but just doesn't flicker twice when i lock the door..

Why is this?

didnt you have problems locking your doors a few days ago, I remember a thread. Following on from this, I would say there's a loose connection somewhere.

Yeah i fixed that problem, that problem was it wouldn't lock at all...
but now it does...

The indicators wont flash if you have left a door open, or ajar, check all doors and boot etc.

happened to me mate, no-one could explain why. when it happened to mine, the alarm was out of sequence with the door locks (ie the doors would lock turning the alarm off, or the doors would open leaving the alarm on). took it to a local alarm fitter who sorted it out, no idea how though. check if the alarm (if fitted) is activated when you lock the car.

Digging up old posts here, but car has just done the same thing! Did this ever get sorted?

As far as i remember, yeah it got sorted! Coz it was fine afterwards!

Also the Light on the central locking switch wont come on.

Well it does come on but only flashes on and off once when i unlock the car. It also flashes when the passengers door is opened and closed. Haven't tested this with the drivers door yet. Oh and if i lock it with the switch the light doesnt come on either.

To make matters worse just tried to start the car and it just all died!! complete black out. only way i could get it to do something was to disconnect the battery again. This happened twice, then i got my spare key and it started 3rd time lucky. Now both keys will start the car fine. Central locking still playing up tho!
