Locking nuts

  ford focus
The socket ive have for my locking nuts doesnt seem to go round it same shape and evrything but it doesnt fully go on and when you get it on it falls off, is this a common problem or do i have the wrong bit

  Mondeo TXS Bardge.
would suggest the latter, any pics of you lock nut pattern a nd the bit.

the ones on mine are like big torx skrews, but the ones that cam eon the laguna ere like a niple with chunks out it, which were identical to all 3 sets of locking nuts on mt GFs brothers and mothers peugots.

Are they Renault locking wheel nuts ? If they are , they only fit on in a certain position , move it round until it fits onto the bolt .

Is locking nuts a bit like twisted testicle? :S

Sorry - still only one coffee in the system - my sense of humour hasn't woken up fully yet.

I bought my 182 second hand and it had two locking nut-keys in with it. Both now don't work with my nut. I think I read something about that Renault use low carbon steal to keep costs down, but all it does is make the metal weak. I'm looking to
get a set of 3rd party ones - I'd recommend you do the same.

If you really want to keep the existing ones, have a word with Renault and they can order you a replacement key from the number stamped on the side of the key. probably work out about the same price as a new set of nuts + key though!
