locking tools

hi all is it possible to buy the locking tools for the aux belt and timing belt for a 172 04 plate

Renault for the cambelt locking tools. Dont expect them to know what ones you want though, took me over an hour to get the right ones ordered the other day. Dont buy the renault aux belt tool, it's pisch, some use a 1/4 drive ratchet with a 3/8 converter socket, i made my own special tool.

ok cheers i had my timing belt done under warranty as the pretensioner collapsed bent 8 valves but they replaced all 16 but would not do aux belt as it wernt broke my mate is going to do my aux belt on wendsday so will tell him not to bother with the aux belt tool

I paid about 85 quid for the pulley locking/immobilising tool from Renault.

I paid 40 quid for a the laser cam and crank locking tools from ebay. The laser one bends eventually apparently but was fine for me. I'll only be using it a few times so hopefully it'll hold out.

hi mate shes sound thanx running like a dream just got her booked in at my mates garage on wendsday for aux belt cos perrys wouldnt do it
