Loosening up

  Der Panzer
Recently I’ve noticed a distinct rise in my cars performance. I mean my 182 Cup is like greased weasel-s**t. :approve:

I’ve clocked 4000 miles from new and I was wondering when people found that their car’s started to loosen up.

i bought mine with 20k on the clock....

i noticed a massive difference at around 28k... So much better, no longer lumpy... really smooth power range. Only thing now is trying to get the power down through 1st & 2nd... doesnt do anything except wheelspin

  MINI JCW
Mines got nearly 7k on it now and the other day its the 1st time I have ever seen the traction control light come on whilst accelerating in 2nd gear

So i will take it as my engine is loosening up although to be honest I havent really noticed any difference in performance since the day I got it

I must admit though somedays it feels so much faster than others, its probably just me though

^^ i notice this alot! some days it'll pull as fast to 120 as it does to 60, others it seems to take alot longer!

this seems to be a common thing with most cars...

automotively engineeringly speaking... it's to do with polar continental air mass giving sequestration/release of latent heat though conduction

Mine loosened up a load with milage doesn't seem to be getting much quicker that it was at 30k or so. There was a marked inprovment upto that milage though.

Just regarding my last post, I took the car for a spin today and did notice it's a little bit more responsive. The millege is around 3700 something, can I put this down to loosening up already? I do give the car hell when driving it like lol

i have no idea, but all the "quick" ones i've driven have been high milers

its a general rule with renault engines, the more miles they've done = the quicker they are
