Losing 2k in a month?

  Golf 7.5R & Clio 200
I know the title makes it sound really silly, but I'm in a bit of a situation!

I traded in my 1.2 Clio, and bought a new Fiesta 1.2. Cost me £7000 all in all, and the insurance is still £1300.

Basically, I've had the Fiesta for a month, and I can't stand it. It's just not me..

So effectively, my question is.

Do I keep it, and just deal with it.

OR

Do I trade it in for a lovely RenaultSport Clio, and use the left over cash to insure it?

I just don't know if it's silly to, I'd be looking at a trade in price of about £5500.00.. And I can't sell it private as I need a car at all times for work!

:/

nothings worth putting up with a car you dont like! if you need to trade in and cant sell private then looks like its what your going to have to do!

If you can afford to lose 2k then I don't see a problem. Only you can make that decision.

What don't you like about the fiesta?

Don't trade it in, Sell it private, Buy a £300 run around while it's for sale so when it goes you can swap the insurance over to that while you hunt for a descent renaultsport.

It's a 59 plate, so new shape but few years old. I bought it because it looks new, has every optional extra there is going, but Im just not attached to it.. My Clio I would have literally cried if something happened to it, but this.. Meh.

I love the mk7 fiestas but the 1.2 petrol is SO slow it's unreal.

Up to you really as above, the longer you wait, the less the car's going to be worth...

Could I just put enthuses on the slow part. My 1.2 Clio is effectively a V6 compared.

The only thing that's really making me hesitate, is I borrowed some money of my parents to buy the fiesta -.- granted it wasn't much, but I havnt paid it all back yet.

i do have to laugh the mk7 fiesta 1.25 82bhp has similar performance & weight figures to a 1.2 16v mk2 ph2 clio & its a cracking thing to throw about

but i can understand you may not like it but is the extra debt worth it ;)

Thing is, you're going to have to pay your parents back whatever car you have. And if you can get rid of the Ford for a Clio you want then why not? It's not nice driving a car you have no love for.

I'm guessing insurance is going to be mental on a RenaultSport if you're paying £1300 for a 1.2.. Whether it's worth it or not is up to you.

Silly question but do you ever take it over 3000RPM ?

I had a family member's Jazz which had 2k on the clock when I got it and it was the slowest thing I'd driven in a long time. I put a thousand miles on it and gave it merry-hell (when warm, I'm not an animal ;) ) and when he got it back, it certainly went a lot better !

sell fiesta (ask if dealers want to buy it back?)
buy shitter
pay parents back
buy renaultsport clio

in that order.

tbf you could be in a worse position mate, but i know where youre coming from and id recommend the above... unless you can get a decent trade in price somewhere. look for a jct600 dealers, they may offer you a good price. they were very helpful when i got my car

What we do at our dealership is give the oppertunity to sell cars privately before handover, basically you agree a deal your happy with including your car,you know what figure youl get from the dealer..set the delivery date at the last day of the month so you have the most time possible to sell yours in the meantime.if you do its a bonus and you pocket the difference..if not you have already got the deal that your happy with anyway..or like its been said already, buy yourself a cheapo til you sell it.

I work for JCT600.

You shoulda got a few vouchers when you picked your car up..send your refferal over with one.if they buy a car you get 50 quid.lol. but seriously wev had loads of people buying cars that arnt right..it costs them a fortune coz they arnt right in the 1st place..lesson to all..make sure its right before you buy it or it could cost you big time..

Ouch mate. £7000 and you want to let it go for £5500. Will the dealer not take it back for closer to that figure. Is it on finance also?

Plus as you said in your other thread you are 18. No way in hell do you want to get yourself out of this situation and lose potentially nearly £2000 and then go ahead and spend another £3/4k on a RenaultSport and lose at least the same on insurance for a year.
Seriously bud don't be daft. You have obviously rushed into this purchase and borrowed money to make it happen. Don't rush into another one. If you got the RenaultSport a year will fly by and you would look back and tell yourself you could have waited a year and saved 2grand on insurance.

I couldn't sell my car private as I work everyday but I knew I would loose loads of money trading it in so I arranged to sell it privately on a day off and went to pick up a new car the day after ! I'm a winner

Ps. Don't like the fiesta coloyr
pps. As people have said to insure the clio will cost you thousands, just wait a few year and get NCb. Spending so much money on insurance is ridiculpus

MK7 Fiesta is an EPIC car, seriously. It's the BEST small engined/hatchback (Probably tested every other car in it's range).

We have them as courtesy cars at work, and they are so impressive, obviously underpowered, but what 1.2 isn't. Turn in is fantastic, the interior is MILES ahead of the MK6.

I really rate them.

I know this offers nothing to the thread, but just sayin'.
