lost my car keys!

i lost my car keys last night and need to get another set! as i am now using my spare set. how much is it likely to cost to get a new key and it reprogramed? its a 1.2 2001 16v dynamique. do i have to go to renalut or does anyone no of anywhere i could go??

Id keep looking for it. A new key plus disabl;ing the old key from starting the car is £80~£120 depending where you go.

You need someone with a Renault laptop who can add and remove keys to a Clio and 99.9% are owned by dealers.

Dont forget that if someone else has your key they will still be able to open it jsut not start it so Id be tempted to get a whole new set of locks or least a set from a breakers yead (drop j3ned a PM he might have a set of locks in) least then if the key ever turns up the person wont be able to even open your car.

Try the police station. I found a set of keys for a vauxhall corsa in a car park on saturday. They were next to the car so it could of been nicked but i handed them in to the police so its worth a try

Normally has to goto the dealer, even if you have the kit to program new keys as I have you still need the access code for the immobiliser system to code in the key.

As to your old key you may be lucky as when I code in the keys it states keys that are not coded in will no longer be assigned to vehicle, or in other words your old key will not start the car but you can open the doors in the normal way.
