Loud knocking noise???

  RB 182 cup
I had a bad knocking noise when I went over speedbumps or changed gear hard, turned out the be the passenger bearing in the top mount. Everything was fine for a few weeks then the noise came back but now does it if accelerate even slightly hard and when I set off in first quickly. I suspected it to be the drivers side bearing in the top mount. Got it changed yesterday and it's still doing it. The mechanic who did it is a close friend and says the engine mounts look okay including the dogbone mount on the gearbox, he said there's a little movement in them but not what can justify the loudness of the knocking. He also said the ball joints and other things round the suspension area look okay and nothing seems loose. Does anyone have any idea what else this could be?
