Where can i get one of those thermastats for a valver that make the fan come on earlier and how much? I thought K-tec do one but i cant seem to find them on the website?

bbperftuning, link at top of page, piece of piss to fit, remove hoses to housing, undo torx bolts, put new one on, and refit housing with a little instant gasket, worthwhile, I have one on mine, hope that helps

I dont think the thermostat makes the fan come on early,it just allows water to run thru earlier keeping it cooler..?

A low temp fan switch is what u want mate , but your best gettin a thermostat to go with it! get em both from bbpt.

just to elaberate

the thermostat opens to let water flow through the rad a low temp one just opens at a cooler temp

a low temp fan switch will make the fan cut in more early

imho get both, flush the cooling before new putting in fresh anti freeze in

havent done mine on the clio but a thermostat will be easy to change, just take off the cast and it will be sat there - halfords replacements usually come with a few gaskets but if they dont then instant gasket works fine.

its will be obvious how it goes in when you take the old one out and see the new one

Yeah think so. Really tired mate, so finding it even harded to think than i normaly do! If you see Wongy about on here ask him, he will know.

if you cant get any joy at your local Motor World ring me at the St Helens one on 01744 25595 and ill try and find out the part numbers for you

Never stop working do you Brun? lol!

I decided not to fit my low temp thermostat, as a number of mechanics, including a Renault one said they cause problems. ECU adjusting the fueling cos it doesnt think the engine has warmed up.......

  172 cup,s2 rs turbo

the ecu would only adjust to the to the coolant temp it reads.cant see you having any problems.if the ecu etc is working ok then the engine will run fine no matter what temp the engine is.
