Lowering car

If I wanted to lower the car with springs, do I need anything else? Also, what are the best springs to look for? Cheers

eibach are good but wont give u the drop they say. depends how low u want to go as to wether u will need new shocks.

i would try and get shocks aswell mate, i lowered my clio on springs only, and the standard shocks soon went anyway.

my mate lowered his 106 on springs only, soon his shocks/driveshafts/torsion bar etc were all needing replaced!

If the lower ride height caused that it wont make a s***s bit of difference if he dropped it 40mm on springs or 40mm on springs and shocks. If the 40mm change effects the position of balljoints driveshafts etc enough to f**k things up then its the same no matter what kit has dropped it that far. As for the torsion bar that may be down to who lowered it. On a car with a torsion bar fitted the lowering springs go on the front and you move the torsion bar a couple of splines to match the height on the rear. There are no springs at the back!
