lowering insurance issues?

when insuring a car with elephant or bell... i noticed when you select modifications, if i select lowering ">5cm" rather than "<5cm" it tells me to phone up.

anyone know why this is?

will it be a big difference in terms of cost between the two?

They someotmes won't insure the higher car drops.

Elephant won't insure you when you drop more than 5cm.

Best to do everything online, when I put my exhaust on the insurance they wanted 60 quid on the phone, on the net it's a fiver!

They beat my quote by about £300 when I was a few years younger.

They work on comission, so ask them if there is anything they can do to beat the quote (and always ask for the same person), also say you're a member of an owners club, I think they do discounts for that (they used to anyway).

yeah the website asked me if i was in a club. also if i went to any motorshows?

you think id be better phoning up in that case if they are on commission?
