seems abit steep but im guessing they improve th handling alot?

Yes. a decent set, set up properly will, lots of choice for the 172s.

I have had my H&R's coilovers fitted for over 4.5 years, and now done about 60k they have been bloody excellent, the H&R's are one of the softer coilovers so they ride the poor UK roads well too.

Try and get a passenger ride in a car with a decent coilover set up, and see what you think mate.

ok will do mate cheers for that another question before a go is the white line abr's a good investment?

If you can get hold of one ;)

A lot of people on here really rate them. I've yet to drive a 1*2 in anger with one fitted, so can't really comment.
