id say wd-40 everything in advance of taking it off, but if its a 182 then i doubt you have to worry about anything being siezed!

easy job otherwise, let us know how you get on.

all done. only took about 1.5 hours.

should i have put the rubber sleeves that go around original front coils at the bottom onto my new springs?

They dont need to be stuck down. i assume you are talking about the lower spring pads? if so they sit into the cup at the top of the strut and then the spring sits ontop of them. They wont go anywhere once the strut and top mount are reassembled.
