Lowering

  Campus Sport
thinking of lowering my clio campus sport..
anyone lowered a mk2 clio?
whats it like? worried itll turn into a skateboard!

yeah i have 17"s so dont think it would take much, just dont know how much it would affect the ride

A well covered topic, there are a variety of kits out there, all affecting the ride in different ways. Some full coilover ktis have full adjustible damping, others will just adjsut the height.

Or you can lower it cheaper on springers, with different springs giving different firmness, drops, etc.

I lowered my 1.4 Mk2 on a set of TA-Technix coilovers ~ 40/50mm, the ride is stiffer, bumps have to be taken MUCH slower (no more skipping through Belfast Harbour Estate!) but it looks great, and it didnt break the bank @ about £250
If you just want it low, then those coilovers or a set of good springs would do it for you.

It all depends on your budget too, coilovers are /generally/ more expensive than lowering springs, each have their pros and cons.

my mk2 ph1 is lowered 60mm with 17s without any problems. will all depend on the offset of your wheels.
