Lumpy

Just went to look at a mint 172 cup and picking it up friday but it was running slightly lumpy was idling ok and he has had it on the diagnostic and nothing shown up also had a new coil pack. It drove fine aswell no noises or knocks. anyone know what this could be i cant remeber how my last clio sport sounded.

Can be slightly lumpy on cold start up, mine is a tad. Once you start driving it's fine.

Yea was from cold start bit lumpy didnt really leave it running till ti was really hot but he said everything is fine and it has a FRSH

its just what they do....

i think its something to do with the cams.

Didn't your other Cup do it mate? Both mine have had a lumpy idle from cold and alot of other people's 1*2s do it too.

You should try a cammed one - lumpy is an understatement!

They all do it as standard, VVT isn't it?

i have never come across a lumpy standard 172.

I think i will get it remapped once iv played around with it alot more
