Mac fiends, i need help !!

Right have all my itunes s**t on my laptop (PC) as i know have a mac it would make sense to transfer everything i guess, plus the mac is 100x's faster than my laptop.

Is there anyway, some kind of wire i need that will allow me to transfer all my songs across into the new itunes. When i plug my ipod into the mac i can see all the songs it just wont let me play them or transfer.

Also...

I wanna put msn on the imac but it says i need WMP so i go on the sight download what i think is it but it just comes up as a written file.

I'm new to everyday use of macs so not to sure.
any help would be great ta.
