Mac retina or new air

No idea what one to go for as no matter what gotta buy a separate cd/DVD drive, just sold my 2011 MacBook pro and it's mostly used for my dj software and Lightroom 4 , which one do I go for ?

13" air 128GB ssd. I would buy one if i hadnt of bought my 13" pro.

Fully spec'd Retina IMO. That alongside a Thunderboltndisplay will give you one he'll of a setup that it sorta future proofed.

I'd go for the upper spec MBP retina with the ram upgrade if I was buying today.

Really nice machine, should be lightening fast too. Expensive even with student discount at about £2200!

Anything more than a base-spec 2012 MBP 15" would be overkill and a waste of money.

CBA with expense of MBP, but an air would be ideal.

Yeh fair point... I've been using the retina mac for a week now and it is so impressive, I just assumed that the DJ'ing was the main use of the MBP for the OP. didn't pay attention to LR!
