Macbook case warping?

Just noticed the bottom rubber of my late 2009 Macbook has warped and split from the edge.

Common fault?

Will upload a pic in a bit.

Take it in to apple, only just out of warranty, they should sort you out.

I've got two, one was bought at week of release, the other is now 9 months old, rubber base is fine on both. Have you had it sat on anything hot? Strange one, never seen this problem on any of the forums, Apple will sort it I'm sure.

Odd the old design can't even do that. It's a solid piece of polycarb seems a bit of a design flaw going to a bit that can separate.

I just have to put up with the keyboard surround section cracking. On it's 3rd replacement now.

I've got an appointment at the Genius Bar this afternoon after work so will see what Apple say. I know it's out of warranty so not expecting much.

Price isn't too bad but i'd push for free. I went today and most people at the genius bar had white macbooks with case problems, they know they're s**t, probably one of the reasons they dropped them as a cheap base model.

Huh? The white Macbooks are still around and are still the base model system. They only did the aluminium macbook for a short time.

So they do!

I thought they were all aluminium now, or did they stop the plastic and then start again? I'm sure a guy I know has an alu non pro MB

They did the Alu Macbook for less than 12 months I think and it ran alongside the Polycarb.

But basically they were all turned into 13" MBP's.

Yeah, they ran the 13" Aluminium MacBook as the higher-end MacBook before it was renamed 13" MacBook Pro.
