Macbook hard drive has 100gb of unknown stuff on it...

What is that? I have upgraded to the new OS on the macbook... And i have had formatted a few times so has it just installed the OS several times over?? I mean this is 100gb!

Any ideas how I can check?

it must be OS surely? I don't have any apps I have bought etc... Photos music etc sounds about right... I mean I have 3 gb left... Really odd IMO. Surely an OS would only be say 10gb?

Emptied the trash got rid of 30gb lol

I am full on idiot though... Can't find the HD in the finder to see if there are any archived OS files. How do I find the hd? lol

Click on Finder. Hit 'Finder' on the toolbar thing on the top of the screen next to the Apple logo.

Hit preferences.

Notice the options for 'show on desktop'

Click hard discs.

Bask in smugness.
