Macbook pro factory reset?

Hey guys im looking to sell my macbook pro and i want to erase all my files password ect my problem is i cant seem to find my reboot discs anywhere is there any way to do this other then buying more discs of apple?

When you format the HDD, you can do a 1, 2 or a (hilariously OTT) 7 pass zero out of the entire disc. Tin foil hat must be worn at all times when completing the 7-pass zero out for the sake of national security.

Worth it if you're remotely worried about security !

haha sorry i was abit confused by your post? now that i have found my discs are there different ways to format the harddrive ie soft format ect where it only deletes so much data?

Reformat the disc and do 'em a fresh install. Pissed me off when I bought my mini only to find gb upon gb of shite that needed a format to remove quickly and easily.
