My bros going to new york in a fortnight...I was going to ask him to bring me back a macbook PRO....saving about £300 from the price here.

Are you actually allowd to bering somthing with this value back?

Also for him to get it back would he have to fit it in his hand luggage?

Sorry know it maybe a dumbass question but he seems to think its not possible and they wont allow it.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks

You won't get caught if they don't think it's new. Put it in his hand luggage (assuming he's using an airport allowing it) and ditch the box.

laptop bag is the best idea and let him use it on the plane at a cost of £20 hour rent lol
save you even more cash

Not necessarily correct. If customs suspect it has been purchased in the US it is up to you to prove it was purchased in the U.K.

Still worth the risk in my opinion:)

I did this in 2006 with a Macbook. I binned the box, stashed the disks in my suitcase and put the laptop into my carry on luggage. Jobs a good un
