Ok im looking at a da. Would i still need a paint depth gauge or are they safe enough?

I have some menz 106fa and a few rotary pads 3m yellow and blue, can i still use these with a da? Or do i need da specific pads?

If so, which ones, only looking to rid swirls as much as i can with a da.

i wouldn't worry too much about a PDG i haven't used one but they are worth it if your concerned about certain areas of your car

as for pads, if your just looking to knock back swirls then have a look at the Megs Microfibre system I've had great results with it on my 172 and 250 and its specifically designed for use with a DA.

They are but using a DA with foam pads tends to take a lot longer as Da's take a while generate the heat to begin to break down the polishes, which is why i rate the MF system, it corrects nicely and for a DA system it does it pretty quickly aswell
