Mad Install Ideas!

Ive taken the rear seats out of my 2004 Dynamique and im going to build an install in there with the help of my mate (hopefully!!).

Im just looking for some mad ideas from you creatively minded people out there.

If i cant think of anything better myself then the one i like best i will make!

Help pleease!

Thats nice actually! Except i havent got any rear seats now!

Im going for:

2 Phoenix Gold PHO-R12s
Phoenix Gold PHO-R5.0 Components
Not sure on the amp yet though!!

dan, where you get that picture from?

my old clio was a red bebop with same interior and last 3 letters of reg were XLB!
actually, looking at it, that is my old car, its got the same mark on the left hand side of the bumper!

  Polo + Micra

are they a pair of infinity perfect 12s???

i remember the good old days of a pair of 12s in a mrk 1:D

How about somehting completly different build it up inside the seats ie remove the foam and put the speakers in ther.

Youve heard of sleeper cars well how about a sleeper ICE set up.

LOL. It would certainly be different! Na, ive gotta keep the seats in-tact!

run something like 2 re xxx 15 in large ported boxes tuned LOW, or a load of the re re 8 - say 4 - 8 all in there own .5 ported boxes in a wall (these little subs are amazing - ive just bought 2!!)

4 12" subs I reckon. 2 angled forwards, 2 angled backwards then attention to detail after that. If you want I could draw up some designs and pm them to you?

i think u should get the same as the pic i posted, but the same on the other side, if you see what i mean! so where it stops against the back seats have the same again on the other side, so 4 subs and 2 amps! :D

  Clio 172 Cup, Audi A

i asked at my local ice place (ICE Direct about sinking a sub into the spare wheel well (i have a cup so no spare wheel).

i wanted to perspex the sub over. with blue lights shining thru the perspex (just imagine it ok, it sounds nice  )

He said it would all need to be dynamatted(sp) and have a free air sub (someone explain wtf one of them is as im not too technologically minded)

plus an amp and decent stereo i would be looking at about 800. Is that good or did they see me coming?

(everything in their shop seems a reasonable price btw)

Oh and the amps mounted on top so from a side view it would be /-\ (but even obviously!)

we could make you a spare wheel sealed box for £150 doesnt have to be free air/infinite baffle, free air sub like a 6x9 uses boot as box.

what kit did he quote for £800?

Id like to go for a big military style install, all green and in big fcuk off ruggedised boxes with heavy duty cabling. I could get all the military-spec connectors and cables from work, I reckon it would be better suited to the back off a Land-Rover tho and not the clio!

Oh..some of the Land-Rovers have 4x100A batteries hooked up in parallell, silly amounts of power :D

That would be cool if you could knock up some designs if you have some spare time. Cheers mate.

tut tut, poor ideas so far in my opinion, im the poor b*****d thats gona be building this thing probably :p chris being honest scrap the idea of the re 18, and go for two 12" re se12"s, their so power hungry. I have one box here ready, can make u another, go with the v design like in my 480, and a amp rack in the boot, off angles to co incide with the sub boxes, mount one amp on the left another on the right, and all distribution blocks, and wiring in the centre inder a perspexed false floor, then invert either sub, cos theyve got chrome baskets, and in the space below, build a plate to fit a brax meter so u can rean the voltage, and then behind your front seats on the floor in the back, mount some batterys and split charge it all. Very easy to do, well just have to find some good whether some time and a a lot of tea and munchies.

amp im still saying pro nemesis plus, good bang for buck, 2000wrms at 1 ohm which the ses will be seing cos their dual 4 ohm. and use your current amp for front comps.

neway thats my little inspiration moment over, go get some cardboard and some marley roof liner and well start getting it sound deadened and a false floor in there.

Well this is my completely different idea, all seats etc stripped out, buckets in front, rear decked out in chequreplarte, and then boking built up over the wheel areches in chequre plate - thats the bit thats done (the hard bit).

Each boxing will have an amp set inot it, and crossovers, and some cool fans.

6.5" components up front, and a 12" sub in a chequreplated box sat in the middle at the back, pointing towards the front.

Havent had chance to take any pics of it yet, on and soem very nice blue neons, wired up to come on when the boot is opened

also boxes, slot ported 2.125cft after displacement, and 3.5 before, tuned to 35hz.will drop loverly and low, but still punchy enuf with a constant amount of power.also id keep the trim simple, so stick with black carpet, nice and easy to work with and doesnt distract to much of the attention from those loverly baskets. Well just have to play with the angles AND SEE WHATS BEST, BUT IF YA STILL STUCK ON THE IDEA OF AN 18" then ill mock up a huge enclosure design for you, id deff go ported but if u want a silly design, then maybe its times for another batch order from cfs. FIBRE GLASs :D
