Making Car A Little Faster

I have a Renault Clio 1.2 16v and want to know how to make my car slightly faster and look sportier? I really wouldn't like to spend any more than £300.

Exhaust, induction kit is properly your best bet, but make sure you have a cold air feed to your air filter and you may gain a couple of bhp. Colour coding is the cheapest mod to make your car look sportier or get some lowering springs.

make it handle well, Only really worthwhile modification on a 1.2.

Springs, wheels and tyres, brakes.

i agree with danny, decent tyres (if your on a budget toyo T1-R's will do the job) decent set of pads, standard discs are fine on the 1.2.

it depends on the year but i find now on the older mk2 non sport clios just changing springs is pointless unless your doing dampers as standard dampers are dying extremely quick, even with a small drop like eibach.

Not this.It will sound w**k and wont gain anything BHP wise.

An exhaust on a 1.2 will not sound nice at all. Loud yes. Nice no.

hate this option. it may seem free, but in reality costs you a big chunk of the resale value, and cuts your captive market for buying the car to a tiny fraction of what it once was.
