I have a 52 plate 172 Cup, 91000 miles and in decent condition. Was running perfect until today.
I had a stainless exhaust with decat fitted last week. Ran great for a week but I could smell petrol. I assumed this was simply because of the decat. I was anticipating the engine-management light to flash up and today it did and cut power. It's running rough and I expected it to be a simple job of mapping around the post-cat sensor or buying one of those mini-cat things to add to the sensor.
A diagnostic read out has flashed up mulitiple errors, mainly around cylinder 4. Codes below, my mechanic pal reckons it could be a shot injector or leads but wont know until they're replaced.
DF055 cylinder 4, injector circuit, short circuit to earth.

Reckon this is serious stuff or an issue caused by the decat?
