On Saturday Myself and a few friends went to explore the Picturesque area of Greenfield near Oldham, lovely Manchester & not so lovely Stockport.
These are some of my pictures:
First we started at Stockport and it's Dodge Hill air raid shelter, virtually untouched since WWII...

Secondly we headed out to the Lovely village of Greenfield where there was an old Paper Mill which used to make cigarette papers until it closed in 2001.

Then we moved back, right slap in the middle of Manchester to visit the Cathedral Steps/Victoria Arches.

The Victoria Arches were a series of arches built in the embankment of the River Irwell in Manchester. They served as business premises, landing stages for Steam Packet riverboats, and also as World War II air-raid shelters. They were accessed from wooden staircases which descended from Victoria Street
