Decided to shoot over to matching green today with the gf to enjoy the hot weather and lovely cars. Here's the pics from today.

I'm really starting to like these.

It's odd, I see stuff like E-Types all the time, i've even seen a DB5 on the road,
but I haven't seen a Lotus Carlton in person since the mid 90s, they're just so rare!

We had on in our bodyshop it was one if our porsche customers car and it was rhd.
We took it to the bakers to get our lunch, it was a quick car back then but that was 15 years ago.

Parts where hard to get hold of then, I would hate to try and get bits for one now.

Scott.p, it was in Matching Green, a little village behind Harlow, Essex.

The lotus Carlton on the right had a RR graph on it showing that it was was running 374bhp.

The dino was owned by a chap who lives in the same village as me, although I've never seen it. They had a guy on a mike doing commentary and the owner was telling him that he had owned it since it was 3yrs old and he paid £10k for it. He recently had it valued at just under £200k and he's giving it to he's daughter! He was saying that he let her drive it to the show and that she wasn't shy with it and he did have a few scary moments! lol

would love to own a Lotus Carlton, my dad had a Carlton years ago, was a lovely car, so can imagine the Lotus would be amazing.

Yeah I know rob, that was my missus phone. It was advertised on scooby.net and mini forum. The gf's mum told me about it but I never knew about it so I googled it. It was in a field but massive turnout.

I saw that boss mustang on my way over to harlow yesterday did sound good.

I was there, was parked opposite the 22B in the Subaru section, really good show, some stunning cars and a shed load of sunburn!

My Dad is the club secretary of The Brentwood Land Rover club who were also there too.

That Mustang Boss was gorgeous, so was the 1970 twin cam Mk1 Escort with '1970 TC' on the number plate.
