Hi guys. needing some info for a mate. he's wanting a 1.8 16 valve. what sort of power etc is in these standard and what insurance group are they. if you can help that be great.

Don't foreget its 137hp when new there 15 years old or so they chnage with age. You might fine its got a 2.0 bottom end as its quite a popualr modification quite a few people have unknowingly had one for free.

137bhp at the fly mate. know loads of people with them, a decent strong engined valver will be quicker than the older MCS with the charger stock for stock, I was surprised how fast they actually are. you do need to kick the s**t out of them to move though, but they are designed to be rev'd hard.

As jesus says you have got to rev them hard wilky knows that dont you m8 else there s**t anything below 4500rpm! do some breather mods, chip de-cat and exhaust and u'll see pretty good gains oh and they sound luvly with either drilled airbox or induction kit

It normally has (INJ) after the listing with the insurers.

No way a stock valver even one with a few mods would make that sort of power 2.0 or heavily modified 1.8
