Maybe selling the valver!!

Well, the time has come for a newer car, staying french with a VTS. Im hoping to get around £950 for mine - reckon thats a fair price to ask???

Going rate for a K-plate in my condidtion - needs some work on the arches and sills (nothing major as they not that bad at all) scratch on passenger door, 2 on bonnet and slights dent in drivers door.

107k, 12 new valves 2 years a go at a cost of £1100 (previous owner had it done!), new brakes all round, f1 cups, mongoose exhaust with decat and original cat to be sold with car. ITG panel filter, lowered, phase 2 rear.

Think £950ish is about right taking in to account the good and bad points!

£950 is a fair price, not sure why everyone thinks that Valvers are worth more than book price.

depends if your in a rush to get rid

if you can afford to wait a bit stick it up higher, you never know, if you advertise it locally someone might just like the look of it and want it, rather than actually looking for that car in particular

not everyone is like us... where we get an idea of what car we want nxt and check prices etc, some ppl just see something, like it, and buy it

Dave, your right! My mate had a black valver, on a k with 108k, arches were rotten to f**k and it needed new struts as the rears were knackered, also needed a new secondary petrol tank as the original had cracked and been cut off from use! it had a months mot and someone bought it for £1400 - they looked at it in the dark when it was raining and agreed to buy it straight out lol!

Ive had plenty

sold an old rusty ax gt, it had 4 months mot left, had oil leaks, water leaks, electrics were buggered, some fool came down and done a straight swap with a P reg corsa, i took the corsa and sold it 2 months later for £1500
ax was worth about 400 tops, nice profit there

current car that i just bought, theres 2 identical to mine on autotrader up for over 5800, well over a grand more than i paid for mine

at the end of the day, everyone looks differently, just because all of us on here know what somethings worth, doesnt mean everyone else does, and some ppl arent clever enough to do research and find out if they are getting a bargain or not

i paid £2300 for my valver N reg on 83,000, pritty immaculate condition, could have some work if your really anal but is pritty mint, thought that was a good price....

good luck with the sale anyway...have you spoke to Benj he has a valver and a superchiped VTS

I dont think ill have any trouble selling mine for over the 2k mark, ive had quite a few people come up randomly and offer more...

Justy - Id advertise it for £1100 that way youll get basically 1k which seems fair enough

I sold my old valver for £2800 through autotrader which is about top price... saying that i paid more than that the the latest one

I cant believe how much they seem to have dropped as well.
mine was up for 4k three years ago !
i paid less than that for it.
Mines un modded & its got factory leather too, i have spent loads keeping to a high standard, to theres no way id accept 2k for it !
Im selling it next month, i havent really decided what to ask for it yet though.
