MBP Wont read an SD card

Since installing Lion my SD card slot doesn't seem to work,

Before i would just insert the card and boom it pops up. Now its doing nothing? Is there anything i can do?

Throw the mac in the bin, theres clearly nothing wrong with the SD card.

Have you tried more than one card? What is the card from? Does it still work in that device?

Its a Transcend 2GB SD card for my car. It still works fine there but nothing happens when i plug it in to the lappy.Odd

When you say "Boom it pops up" is that like in the previous version when you plug any external memory in a finder window would open up or the drive would show on the desktop as it doesn't seem to do that in Lion as standard?
