Evo 8 Jap Crap
Get rid of the daft boeing wing and the fact it needs a respray.
Bad Points (which I'll be working on once the weather improves) :
Scuffed area on passenger front wing.
Scratches on pannel between boot and rear window.
Scratches on area where number plate would be.
CF boot lid and mirrors needs re-lacquering.
Crack near latch on CF bonnet.
Road rash on front lip.
Evil!
Would muc hrather have one over that dated TVR
The difference is one sounds like distant artillery, will go sideways off idle and creates more torque than the other at 2000RPM - the other is a Honda.
TVR dated? That's sort of the point ;-)

One of them there TVRs was at the Surrey RR day yesterday.
Sounded imense when it pulled up, was rattling everything as it idled away, sounded like pure thunder.
Then he ran it up, and it posted a MASSIVE 200 bhp - good ol' Rover V8s.
Err...I'll have an S2000 please.
not looked got about 4, i'll check now x

That's about right for a 400, circa 200ftlbs of torque to go with it usualy.
Thing is they weigh in at 1060KG's, if you dump the spare wheel and take the roof off it drops to 1030KGs. An S2000 weighs in at 1250 - 1300 depending on spec, hence even the most base spec Chim is 10bhp up in power to weight terms over an S2000 and thats before you look at torque.
The 450 is IMHO the best one to go for, the 500's are bloody quick and tend to make 275 - 280bhp but are just have too much torque, you spend forever with opposite lock wound on.
TVR's are very much marmite - you either get them or you don't but for sideways fun they take a lot of beating and my old 400 (making circa 240bhp) was a right hoot!

I know they're light, and masses of fun...but for me the tales of owenership woe and expense, compared to the (almost) bulletproof reliability of the S2000 let's them down.
240bhp in just over a ton would be hard to resist though!
