Measuring Brake Pad Thickness

How do you do it? i.e - take off wheel? use tape measure? ???

guess so mate. anyone know the limit of friction material thats the minimum

just change the pads when they look out. before they are down to the metals/rivets, some have a wear indicator ridge on the lining material, some dont. the manufacturer will state a minimum thickness but its usually b****cks! disc thickness however is important!

Can you check disc thickness without taking the disc out?

data aviailable from renault (phone em tomorrow?) and you need a digital doo-daa (vernier caliper ect) to measure em. but basically if they are badly ridged, cracked, scored or generally f*C&ed change em!!
