Megane F7R

  Megane mk1 f7r
Hi all.. sorry not a clio but I was just wanting some advice, I’m running a f7r in my mk1 megane.. in the stages of a turbo build, I was wondering what the best gearbox is to use that will handle the extra boost?

Depends on how much boost/power and if it's going to be used more on road or track tbh

Some people prefer to use JC5 089 from the ph1 172 as the gear ratios are more suited to it - still made of the same French chocolate as all the other boxes so not really the most suitable option for big power.

For big power and reliability you want 1 of the VW gearboxes -I have no idea what the codes are though- it's a fairly common conversion so there's a decent amount of people about that know what's what. Plus the front end of the MK1 Mégane is near as dammit the same as a MK2 Clio so the information on how to convert in a Clio will mostly still apply for the Mégane
