Megs

I have a bit left in a bottle, produces a fairly slick wash not overly suddy though, worked out expensive when you look at what you can get a US Gallon or the SHampoo Plus or Hyperwash for.

I have both the Hyper Wash and the Shampoo Plus. Both clean well, produce lots of suds, and leave a good finish, the later has the edge in the finish it leaves, though the Hyper Wash is super economical 1 part soap to 400 parts water IIRC - so one pump easily does a bucket. I have had my bottle for ages.

I tend to use the Hyper Wash on my wheels and arches and on the daily drive, and occasionally use the Shampoo Plus on the 182 bodywork, and to wash other peoples cars that I maintain.

How strong are they on sealant?
I suppose it depends on dilution?
 
Neither seem harsh on waxes and sealants. I wash my 306 with a stronger than recommended mix of Hyper Wash as it goes at least a month without washing and that only has one coat of Jeffs AGT and a coat of Zymol Titanium on it and it looks good, and paint feels super slick after.

Mixed up correctly they will be fine.

I think i should find one shampoo and stick to it,but i feel like i wanna try numerous ones to find the one that suits my washing regime

^ Nerd alert ;)

I currently have:

Chemical Guys Extreme Wash n Wax and Maxi Suds
Saab shampoo (a reformulation of the Sonax stuff)
Victoria Super Soap (used this today for the first time - brilliant stuff! - just make sure you rinse well)
Super Snow Foam

- TBH though I always at least wipe over with QD and a MF after drying anyway, but the Super Soap did leave a really dark and fresh finish even without. I would recommend trying it - surprised Rich hasn't got a bottle or two TBH! :rasp:
 
Another question
Ive just got some sonus der wonder drying towels,are you ment to wash them before using,as when i took one straight out the packet and started to dry,they left blue fluff on the car?
 
Not tried that or the Victoria wax as I have far to many waxes and shampoos already ! I tend not to QD the daily hack so need the soap to give a finish.

182 always gets QDed and or Zymol Feild Glaze after wash so not important.

Lot's of what I have in the list won't be purchased again !

They say to wash them first, I have used them straight out of the packet though with no ill effects.

I'd recommend it for the finish then - its actually less viscous than I was imagining it would be, but left a very slick finish so I would recommend trying it.

Not used the wax yet either, want to try some of the Dodo Waxes first though - but don't want to fork out just yet as can't really justify the purchase right now unless they really are good, you heard anything more about the new premium waxes Rich?
 
No more details as yet. I have a full sized pot of Purple Haze now, so bloody cold doubt I will use it till spring!

Best Value and for bulk use:

Meguiars Hyper Wash
Meguiars Shampoo Plus

Those are the only ones I really use anymore though do use the Swissvax Car Bath on my 182 when it is wearing one of there waxes.

I've just ordered some Sonax!!!!

Does shampoo really make that much difference to the overall finish?
 
Some give a finish works means it still looks as fresh as it was just waxed, some dull the finish.

Where was the Sonax from ?
