Meguiars 3 Stage Question

Ok, so I started doing this in Sunshine..

I got stage 1 nearly done, and it started to rain.

I dont have to do Stage 1 again do I? - can I just dry the car and then do Stage2 then Stage3?

Thanks,

Daz.

ye, stage 1 is just a cutting compound, you should really get some stage 2 and stage 3 on to protect the car now.

ps. stage 1 is a nightmare eh.. certainly gives your arm a workout.

Daz if you had bought that cloth for £15 youd be finished by now and you wouldnt have this problem ;)

Sorry. That was no help at all was it.

Ok, All of Stage 1 done.. and its raining again..

when it stops, Ill go and dry it (again!) and do Stage2.. then try and get Stage3 done..

In again.

2/3rds of the car done in Stage2...

So rear drivers side and back to go... then Stage3..

Damn Rain!

it isnt a cutting compound its a paint cleaner, cleans oxidation from paint etc and will take of a micron layer of laquer if u use it lots, stage 2 is a polish/ glaze it will smooth the paint out and also polish it slightly, stage 3 is a wax which wil protect the paint, daz u could do with getting some meguairs quick detail spray, for when u r inbetween polishes etc just brings wax back up.

Its still a cutting compound though.. cause it does cut into the laquer/paint. okay were talking minute amounts but still a cutting compound, and doesnt really need to be used that often if you keep stage 3 topped up..
