Meguiars??

  1.6 16v
I have the Meguiars Step 1, Step 2 and Step3 polish/wax etc and when i use them it leaves a wired film/smear/annoying glare on the car!

Its starting to wind me up because i thought this was easy to use but seems very difficult to get rid of this glarely thing! It looks like there is something left on the paintwork after i have buffed it up loads of times and it just does not dissappear!

Can anyone help? Am i doing somthing wrong??

Cheers steve

Not a fan of any of the 1-3 range.

Try applying them more thinnly, using a couple of MF towels for the wax removal stage.

What you applying them with? In the Sun or shade?

Wipe the car down after with a decent quick detail spray and see if that helps.

To be honest the 3 step isnt that great mate....it take far too long...not all of the Megs products are all they are cracked up to be....IMO they are over priced too.

If you want a simple and easy way to keep your car in top nick, get a good quality shampoo, a good polish, a glaze, sealant and wax.

Shampoo: http://65.61.142.45/product_p/extrwash.htm

Polish: http://65.61.142.45/product_p/all1.htm

Glaze: http://65.61.142.45/product_p/ezgl.htm

Sealant: http://65.61.142.45/product_p/bodysh.htm

Wax: http://65.61.142.45/product_p/xxx.htm

I'm applying them in the shade and not on a warm day. I'm using MF towels as well and they make no difference.

Applicator pads are fine - all I can suggest is using a little less product maybe then.

Stage 2 and then 3. It seems ok at stage 1. but ive only done stage 1 once because i got so pissed off with the amount of effort i put in rubbing the polish off. It felt like i was there for days and getting nowhere!!
