Memory Stick Read only?

Hi,

I have a usb memory stick with a lot of photos on, is there a way of making it so they cannot be deleted by anyone? Im not bothered about being able to write anything to the stick in the future if that matters. Do I need some software? Im on a mac too if that makes any difference.

Open finder. Click on the drive. CMD + I

At the bottom adjust the settings as to who can do what.
